... off in the distance ...

She stood off in the distance...

The wind blew her delicate hair back and to the side. She stood there, as if for some reason she was poised to that spot. You could hear the drunks down at the corner making a crash at the local tavern. And the streets to either side was desolate. Except the occasional drunk whom had enough and had gone home.

She stood there off in the distance...

Life was moving all around her. Frozen still in her mind as if time itself had halted its ways. With patience she waited for, sought to find the reasoning in this world. This search that brought her to this point.

She stood there off in the distance...

The clouds moved across the horizon. Changing shapes with every twist and bend. The grass moved with the motion of the breeze. And her dress flowed with the current of life. I motioned forward, and began to walk. Our eyes meet and suddenly our lives became open scrolls to each other, read off in announcement for the other to hear.

She stood there off in the distance...

With me beside her, and eventually i spoke.

"Hi..."

Alternate ending:

"With me beside her, and eventually she spoke."
